Car Wash Barn – Emmons Construction Inc., Temple, TX

Belton Engineering (BE) collected all available existing data for a typical car wash barn facility and engineered the foundation and created a site plan which encompassed an on-site detention pond. The adjacent lots (part of an overall development) were preliminarily studied in order to determine the feasibility of “on-site” detention ponds rather than a regional detention area. In the process of this car wash site design, we identified an existing breach of runoff overflowing onto this site from a poorly constructed existing curb and gutter along loop 205 in Temple, Texas. Our design utilized the installation of an inlet and pipe, problem solved.
